Buying process

With a customer base that is worldwide, the Web plays a crucial part in our overall communications with customers. Upon first inquiry, we will send out an email with attachments that will cover the scope of our products and that will answer most initial questions that a customer has.

If the content of our web site has triggered you to want to know more about our products, if you’ve seen a train in operation, in one of our advertisements or have attended some of the conferences and expositions we participate in, we will be pleased to send you an electronic package that will complement your first observations.

The typical transaction scenario is as follows:

  1. The customer reviews the information package that was initially sent;
  2. The customer has specific questions that he addresses to Wattman by phone or by email;
  3. The customer makes a decision to purchase;
  4. Wattman reserves the train for 3 or 4 days and generates a customer order;
  5. The customer signs the order and makes a deposit to secure the transaction outlined in the order;
  6. 2 weeks prior to the ship date, the customer pays the balance;
  7. The train ships per the ship date and shipping instructions on the order.
